Founded in 1875, the Diocese of Niagara has been the local expression of the Anglican Church of Canada in Guelph and Hamilton, the region of Niagara and Halton, as well as Wellington, Haldimand and Dufferin counties. Seeking the advancement of religion and alleviation of poverty, its 90 parishes serve approximately 25,000 people. The Diocese of Niagara supports 90 parishes in southern Ontario. By providing administrative services, regional worship opportunities, pastoral care and educational training events for our clergy and staff we are advancing our Anglican faith tradition. We also offer a variety of religion-based programs including summer camps for children, faith formation for youth and young adults, refugee sponsorship, as well as many poverty-elimination, social justice and environmental initiatives.
