In the past year the Children's Aid Foundation has launched: The Element Financial Youth Capital Program-a program designed to help vulnerable young people transitioning out of foster care to complete their educational goals, become financially empowered, and build skills and experience in employment preparation and entrepreneuship. The HSBC Bank Canada National Transformation Project-a program designed to improving rates of primary and high school graduation and post-secondary enrollment and completion among children and youth involved with the child welfare system, and the Holiday Season Support Fund-a program to support youth from care over the Holiday Season by providing travel and accommodation support to youth with nowhere to stay or who are alone.
