Services Provided by St. Matthew's Anglican Church
The vestry of St Matthew's Anglican Church is the governing body of the parish. It dispenses funds for the work of the church and shares in local, national and international prayer and evangelical missions. The church provides spiritual and in some cases financial care for the sick, bereaved, and others in need. In addition at home, hospital, and other institutional visits, the clergy and vestry are also involved with outreach programs with other community organizations. St Matthew's Anglican Church also provides support to other charities and the many organizations sponsored though the national Anglican Church of Canada. In 2015, the church building was found to be in need of significant structural repair. Phase I of the required repairs began in 2015 and was completed in 2016. These repairs were funded through a capital fundraising campaign and a heritage restoration grant. Phase II began in November 2016 and is on-going. Capital fundraising is on-going and continues to support Phase II.
