S.s. Sicamous Marine Heritage Society is a Public Amenities Charity located in Penticton, BC.

Services Provided by S.s. Sicamous Marine Heritage Society
We are constructing a historically accurate wharf in front of the ship, to improve first visitor impressions, and hopefully increase admissions to the museum. Volunteers are working in the engine room of Tug #6. A generator was recently airlifted onto the deck by helicopter, and the volunteers have succeeded in repairing two generators and turning on the lights. They are continuing to work on the engine. The SS Sicamous has had an exterior elevator installed (thanks to funding from the Government of Canada's Accessibility Fund) and the upper decks are now wheel chair accessible. We has over 11,900 visitors last year, and are looking forward to the coming year. The Sicamous Society has also hosted several weddings and special events, which bring more guests on board to see the ship, and to learn about the marine heritage of the Okanagan Valley.
