The Gallery leases a building for the purpose of operating an art gallery. The Southern Alberta Art Gallery exhibits the work of contemporary visual artisits for the enjoyment of the public. Also the gallery tours art exhibitions at similar public venues in Canada. The gallery also publishes catalogues and distributes them throughout Canada. A quarterly newsletter is sent out to promote exhibitions and events. Art related programs are open to the public such as films, video series, exhibition openings and art trips.
