Opportunity Works provides computer training support of individuals small businesses in the areas of website development and maintenance.Other areas of computer training is e-mail and Micro soft Office. These individuals havebeen traditionally identified themselves as mental health consumers.The computer training is also provided to other low income individuals Opportunity Works provides a yearly scholarship for deserving small business entrepreneurs.Small business entrepreneurs have access to a Micro Loan Fund to assist them to maintain or continued development of their venture. Opportunity Works has developed a concept named the Healthy Minds Cafe which is a series of presentations that take place in Calgary coffee shops that are on a commuter home for downtown workers. It is a highly informal and interactive discussion focused on strategies ordinary people can use to manage their mental health. Its main purpose is to normalize the discussion of mental health management Bi-monthly support groups for mental health consumers in assisting them in their mental management management and development of their small business.
