Promote fire and burn prevention initiative in elementary schools. Initiated a program to construct and deliver up to 15 fire safety trailers to fire departments throughout Manitoba. Plan, sponsor and conduct an annual children's burn camp. Plan, sponsor and conduct an annual adult burn survivor conference. Provide support for burn survivors and their families. Provide funding for the creation of an endowment for a research position of chair in burns and trauma.Provide funding for ongoing burns research. Provide funding for staff education through attendance at burn conferences. Provide for the purchase of specialized equipment for burn units and burn survivors. Provide support for Mamingwey Burn Survivor Society which is managed by a committee of burn unit professionals, burn survivors and fire fighters.
