(1) We continue to publish our award-winning mazazine of arts and ideas. It showcases visual and performing arts throughout the region and beyond-with news, reviews, interviews, art, photography, fiction, poetry, and opinions, as well as a calendar of events. The magazine attracts contributions from some of Canada's leading writers, photographers, and artists, earning it a place as the region's preeminent journal of arts & ideas. (2) We continue to serve as an informal referral & information resource-connecting people & groups. (3) We continue to sponsor an acclaimed film program. (4) We advocate for the creation of a not-for-profit regional center for the visual + performing arts. (5) We continue to review individuals + groups as potential recipients for our "Acorn Swards"- to recognize their contributions to the region's artistic, cultural, + intellectual life.
