We conduct monthly open meetings on topics related to Learning Disabilities (LD's) with speakers. Meetings are free. We advise parents on approaches to meeting school officials regarding problems and educational modifications for LD-identified students. We represented our members and community on the Ontario Government mandated Special Education Advisory Committees (SEAC's) of the Public and Catholic School Boards in Durham Region. We operated a resource centre on LD-related interest (books, literature, videos, research). We operated a website for our Chapter, with links and resources.
