Services Provided by Capercaillie Pipe Band
Capercaillie is a teaching band that tutors girls and boys and adults in the traditional Scottish methods of the art of the Highland Bagpipes. There is no cost to the member and they are supplied with all the instruments to learn. Once a member is capable of performing, they are supplied with a proper Scottish Highland Dress Uniform. Members are also taught to march in parade formation while playing their instruments. When they are capable of performing they will play at various cultural events and public performances at Highland Games. The band also teaches members wanting to play the snare sides and bass drum. As members progress in talent they can go on to compete in various levels around Canada representing the band and area they are from.
