Imperial Theatre continues to operate a performing arts facility in Saint John NB both as an arts presenter and as a rental facility, serving all of Southwestern New Brunswick. The theatre presents both local and international performing arts in disciplines including theatre, music, dance and comedy. An active volunteer contingent of 150, with volunteers fulfilling roles both operational and as board and committee members. Where possible, Imperial Theatre offers opportunities to area residents to workshop and take master classes with touring artists in various from of dance, music, theatre, improv and movement. The School Services sees over 2000 school-aged children attend the theatre each season to see educational and curriculum relevant live performances. The Backstage Technical Lecture Series offers training in areas such as Audio Design, Production Management and Stage Management for local high school students and amateur and professional technicians in the community. The Conversations with Inspiring Women Series is a series of informal free to the public, talks by women artists insure to inspire women of any age pursuing their dreams and goals, and equally sure to inspire artists and arts lovers of any gender. Other important education and outreach activities include the Critical Response Sessions are open to the general public, and are also offered through UNBSJ Continuing Education as part of the course, "How to Talk about Art."; and The Intergenerational ......
