The Peace Palliative Care Society offers & provides: 1) Trained volunteers to provide visiting & respite companionship for individuals receiving palliative care & also to their families 2) Financial assistance for palliative patients for costs associated with their care not covered by other insurances (private or Alberta Health Care) 3) Provision of equipment and supplies for palliative care rooms in hospital and for Home Care Programs & Continuing Care Centers 4) Support of ongoing palliative care education for professional staff and volunteers.
