The program is established to assist prison inmates integrate into society upon their release from prison. To this extent, volunteers are available to meet with inmates in prison, either on the request of the prisoner or at the direction of other prison staff, to provide such counseling, direction and encouragement as will be helpful to them upon their release. Efforts are made to enable them to return to family living and develop a positive work ethic and personal attitudes and habits. The work of the volunteers is overseen by the Board of the organization, which is available to direct the volunteers and controls all spending.
