Services Provided by Campbell River Dragon Boat Society
1. We maintain a rehabilitative training program for breast cancer survivors 2. We promote public awareness of benefits of regular participation in the active sport of dragon boat racing 3. We promote breast cancer awareness through active participation in community cancer related activities including the Relay for Life, Terry Fox Run, COPS for Cancer 4. We donate a $1000.00 bursary to North Island College awarded to a student in the field of women's health 5. We promote breast cancer awareness to the general public by sponsoring and attending information sessions at public venues 6. We co-host a local dragon boat festival with the focus on spreading cancer awareness 7. We invite corporate and local businesses to sponsor their employees to participate in group dragon boat experiences with our society to help spread breast cancer awareness and encourage them in awareness of the health benefits of regular physical activity.
