BCGEHR hosted the 2016 international Handbell Symposium held in Vancouver,BC July 26-30,2016. A planning committee was named which included members from BC,AB,MB and ON. and has been working closely with MCI Canada for the past 4 years. This event brought together almost 800 handbell ringers from around the world which rang in mass form under the direction of conductors from 7 different countries. A website,IHS2016Vancouver,was established for registration and information purposes.
