Children's Peace Theatre programs contribute to peace, non-violence and positive child/youth development through community arts. Our core programs are centered around collaborative art making and conflict transformation including Peace Camp (a three week summer theatre day camp for children ages 8 to 13); Pease is Possible Parade and Workshops; Youth Leaders Theatre Project (provides free weekly theatre and leadership training to diverse, under-serviced youth in the community); Culture Jam (after school, March Break and summer programming designed to engage newcomer and refugee children underthe age of 13) and Speak Your Peace Youth Arts Festival (annual free event that explores and celebrates cultural diversity and gives local youth op...portunities to develop leadership and employment skills). In addition to staff and artists, Children's Peace Theatre carries out out programs with the help of over 100 volunteers contributing 3500 volunteers hours.
