The Nova Scotia 4-H Council Executive meet five times annually,in January,March,May,July and October. The Nova Scotia 4-H as a whole hold its Annual Meeting in November of each year. At Council meeting the following items arecovered:(a) The Council Executive meets to advise the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture,4-H Clubs and Counties on changes to rules in projects and competitions. These rules govern any of the 40 specific projects offered in the program (from calf and homemaking youth projects) or one of the three major 4-H annual,provincial functions. The annual provincial programs are:(1) A Provincial Public Speaking and Woodsman (2) A provincial 4-H Show which is a three day "exhibition" and competitionin 4-H projects. (3) A Provincial Conference for Adult Volunteer Leaders or Senior 4-H members.(The target group is rotated each year).(b) The Council Executive is drawn from six geographic areas,representing the entire province of Nova Scotia. At Executive meetings members share and exchange ideas,problems or solutions regarding 4-H in this area. For the County Programs: To manage & solicit donations to Promote 4-H To assist with carrying out an extension program.
