Services Provided by Temagami Area Fish Involvement Program

Operates a fish hatchery for the lakes around Temagami Ontario. Eggs are collected from mature walleye in the spring. These are raised in holding ponds until they are "fry". The fry are then released into lakes in the Temagami area approved by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Holding ponds must be maintained year round.
