To offer encouragement and support to individuals with heart disease, and to assist their partners, families and friends; to educate the public about the risks of heart disease; to visit patients in hospital, and after discharge to assist with lifestyle changes; to raise money to support the aims of the Society, and to obtain grant money for continuing education related to heart disease and other health-related causes; to maintain close communication with members through meetings and the newsletter.
