Raising and training dogs as companion dogs for people with special needs and seniors. The program acquires and trains dogs and places them with a suitable recipient. The Society provides training to recipients and continues to be involved with the recipient and dog during the entire placement. In cases of financial hardship, the Society may provide financial assistance to the recipient for veterinary expenses. The Society offers a DogSmart program to local elementary schools to teach children how to safely approach and interact with dogs.
