The Choir strives to support the performing arts in Toronto through performances and raising awareness of choral music. The Tallis Choir is a chamber ensemble of 36 voices that has earned a reputation for innovative programming and polished performances during our 39 year history. Works ranging from Gregorian Chant to contemporary choral music are presented, but the Choir is best known as one of the few ensembles in Canada specializing in the music of the Renaissance, particularly 16th century England and Italy. This season, the Choir presented a subscription series of 4 concerts between October 2015 and May 2016 which constituted the bulk of our activity for the fiscal year.
