Firstenergy Community Foundation is a

In accordance with our mandate, the Foundation made donations to charitable organization and individuals whose activities are in one way or another directed towards improving the quality of life for disadvantaged members of our community. In addition, the Foundation made payments for gifts of food vouchers, clothing and toys to families living in poverty as identified by members of the Calgary Police Service and local emergency shelters. The Foundation also provided security upgrades in homes where an inherent danger of an abusive partner was imminent. The situations were identified by either the Calgary Police Service, the Edmonton Police Service, the Red Deer RCMP, the Medicine Hat Police Service or ARTAMI (Alberta Relationship Threat Assessment and Management Initiative).
