To provide leadership and foster collaboration to advance excellence in graduate eudcation, research and scholarship; to organize an annual conference that provides deans, administrators and graduate students with an opportunity to identify and discuss issues touching on graduate studies on the national level; to produce best practice papers and working and discussion papers that provide guidance to deans, administrators and graduate or prospective students; to undertake an annual competition for the best thesis in each of the Humanities and Social Sciences and the STEM disciplines; to provideadministrative support to an association of postdoctoral scholars and administrators that help to share best practices and to promote the environment for successful postdoctoral scholarship and training.
