The primary purpose of our organization (MARTA) is to provide a $1000.00 scholarship annually to a deserving high school graduate who will pursue post-secondary studies. The designated school selects the recipient. Secondly, we also donate food and money ($100.00) annually to the local food bank. We organize social events for retired teachers. In 2016 we awarded $1250.00 in bursaries (5x$250.00)to graduates of our 5 local high schools.
