Services Provided by Urbanpromise Toronto
A) Children's Programs aimed at those aged 5-10 and includes the following: 1) after-school programs to equip children with the tools necessary for social and academic success; 2) Mentorship program which pairs caring adults which children that need special care and attention; 3) March Break Camps; and 4) Summer Day Camps. B) Youth Making a Difference (YMAD) aimed at those aged 11-14 and includes the following: 1) after-school programs aimed at helping young people recognize and reach their academic potential; 2) "Word-Up" Studies where young people are taught from the Bible, God's word of truth for their lives; 3) Mentorship program by pairing youth with UP interns and streetleaders who work with them and act as positive role models; 4) Summer Camps. C) Mothers Program (UPHold) aimed at mothers living in government housing and includes the following: 1) Mom's Support Group where mothers can meet together and share their lives and experiences. They are also taught certain parenting and life skills; 2) Bible Studies; 3) Home visits where UP staff can provide special care and attention for people in need; 4) Resource Support which connects mothers with other agencies which can help their particular situation.
