Services Provided by Community Connections (Revelstoke) Society
Operation of the community food bank; provide residential accommodation and incidental facilities to low income individuals and families; provide daycare for children; provide programs for autistic and special needs children and parents; providing families, children, and individuals with counselling, outreach programs, mentoring programs, workshops, support groups, and seminars on issues such as special needs parent groups, managing conflict, self-defense, anger management, conflict resolution, and effective communication; provide residential accommodation and incidental facilities and support for individuals with special needs; provide life management counselling, job training, job placement assistance, and other supportive services to adults with special needs to become and remain more independent in the community; providing life skills development programs to children and youth; receive and maintain funds and apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom, from time to time, to charitable organizations that are also registered charities under the Income Tax Act.
