This year CMHA BC Division began a 3-year suicide prevention initiative with a goal of training 20,000 British Columbians to be alert to the signs of suicide. As well, the organization has recently become the host agency for the provincial Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Collaborative. The purpose of the Collaborative is to increase the number of children, youth, and families receiving timely access to integrated mental health and substance use services and supports in BC.
