Workign with RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, Coroners Office and Emergency Management BC - KSAR provides quality care and speedy recovery of those individuals who are lost or injured while enjoying the BC Interior Wilderness. Urban searches also performed in the Kamloops, BC area. Instruct school age children on safety in the outdoors through the Outdoor Safety Advernturesmart Programs. This past fiscal year KSAR was tasked out 22 times by Emergency Management BC for a total of 208 task hours (al volunteer time). Areas of advancement training include Ground Search and Rescue, First Aid, Swift Water Rescue, Mountain Rope Rescue, and Avalanche Rescue.
