Portage Avenue Church is a religious congregation established for the purpose of worship, to provide Christian education programs for its members, their families, adherents and the community, and to provide spiritual and practical support to those in need. In addition, the Portage Avenue Church also supports the missionary activities of the Mennonite Brethren Church of Manitoba and the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches as well as the relief programs of the Mennonite Central Committee and the Mennonite Disaster Service.
