The Academy in July-August 2016 provided instruction to over 200 young professional musicians, given by outstanding professional musicians in voice, viola, violincello, douglas bass, piano, chamber ensembles, percussion, wind and opera. Student concerts were given, which were accessible to the general public. The Festival in July-August 2016 consisted of a series of concerts given both by the Academy instructors and other performers. All activities and performances were in Toronto, Ontario, using facilities of the Faculty of Music of the University of Toronto. Lectures by outstanding academics in the relevant subjects were presented before some concerts.
