For almost two years MOCA's resources have been dedicated to the major capital project and planning for growth. In this transition period MOCA has produced far fewer artistic activities than usual. MOCA held an important press conference, hosted by Arsin?e Khanjian, on March 29, 2016, to announce the new building, institutional branding and direction. Other activities included a Vera Frenkel book launch, gallery crawls, and a historical walking tour of MOCA's new neighbourhood. MOCA has been giving hard hat tours of its site to build support and excitement about the new facility
