1) To carry out educational programs to introduce school children and adults to the world-renown and historically significant art collections in The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. 2) To provide scholarships in the form of grants to Canadian and russian university students and scholars to advance their academic studies at The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia and conversely at a Canadian university or museum. 3) To organize and broker exchanges of art exhibitions between The State Hermitage Museum & Canadian Institutions. 4) To undertake projects which make the collections of the Hermitage Museum more accessible to Canadians and others for the purpose of research, general enjoyment of art, and to contribute to the longevity of the collections for future generations. 5) To foster stronger cultural ties between Canada and Russia through the organization of a program of educational/cultural tours.
