Community Resources Charity located in Atlin, BC.
Services Provided by Big Water Society
1) Dedicated to enhancing community wellness & providing healthy youth activities. A volunteer Board is responsible for all ongoing activities. Staff for the various contract activities include Society Cooridinator, Professional Mental Health & Addictions Therapist, Community Justice Worker who has been instrumental providing peace making circles with great sucess; Teen Centre supervisors & family support worker. We work with various govt agencies, First Nations, local courts & RCMP. 2) Provide a alcohol & drug-free facility for teens under a paid & professional supervisor with life skills; healthy food & educational excursions. 3) Provide an Annual Scholarship Achievement Award for youth to promote good citizenship including a large cash award & ceremony provided by volunteers.
