Programs at The Recreation Outreach included Club ROC (run twice weekly for children ages 5-12 to participate in music, dance, sports, games and creative arts. The children learn new skills, make new friends, and interact with caring adults); Triple Power ( a 4 week program for boys and girls in grades 4 to 8 with eacweek addressing the 3 key areas of healthy living: Lets Cook, Lets Move and Lets Create); "Girls Rock It" ( for girls in grades 7 and 8, focusing on mentorship, body image, healthy relationships and healthy lifestyle); Chill Teen (Sessions for student ages 13-18 yrs. with structured and unstructured activities such as field trips, music, photography, street art, volunteer opportunities. It is a safe place todevelop relationships, skills and self esteem); Overnight Girls Getaway is a retreat for grade eight girls to assist with transition to grade nine and to facilitate relationships with othe county youth, grade 9 girls will participate and help with the transition and mentoring. Camp ROC ( an annual arts and sports day camp for ages 5 to 13 offering creative arts, ball hockey, basketball, and soccer. We have 103 volunteers contributing approximately 4700 hours/yr.
