Services Provided by CANADIAN FAMILIES AND CORRECTIONS NETWORK / REGROUPEMENT CANADIEN D'AIDE AUX FAMILLES DES DÉTENU(E)S

CFCN continues to provide programs to assist families of offenders throughout the incarceration cycle which includes: a) A national toll-free information and referral service b) Internet-based information and print resources, including sales of print resources and training curricula specific to service delivery to families c) Orientation and information to the families and offenders who are entering the federal correctional system d) Operating Visitor Resource Centres within the Visiting and Correspondance Areas of several federal penitentiaries, e) Research on families affected by incarceration; f) Training workshops and conferences to train tor educate the voluntary sector and correctional personnel on effective service position to families affected by incarceration and reintegration; and g) Offering consultation services to the voluntary sector and correctional institutions on restorative justice and how to better respond to families through policy development and service delivery.
