Services Provided by Dance Victoria Society
1. DANCE Victoria Society presented a subscription sales based professional dance series. This series included Ballet BC, Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, Kidd Kivot & Electric Company, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and Alberta Ballet. 2. The Society also presented OUt Innerspace Dance Theatre at the Metro Studio Theatre. 3.The Society held workshops during its Dance Days Festival, thereby improving the level of dance in Victoria. 4.The Society held lectures around performances, thereby enhancing the dance knowledge of participants. 5.The Society operates a dance studio facility for the benefit of local dance organizations by offering multiple residencies. 6.Works in progress by Julianne Chapple, Amber Funk Barton, Meredith Kalaman, Ziyian Kwan, Shay Kuebler were presented at its studios on Quadra Street to enhance dance knowledge. 7.A presenters forum was also held during dance days. A dozen of presenters from across the country attended in 2016.
