The purposes of the organization are to: a) Advance education by providing conferences, symposia, and webinars to health professionals and the general public on topics such as blood and marrow transplantation and related issues, b) Advance education and promote health by providing research grants to medical professionals for projects related to blood and marrow transplantation, and ensuring the dissemination of the results of such research to public,c) Promote health by maintaining both a clinical trial network and national blood and marrow transplant registry to improve the safety and efficacy of the field of blood and marrow transplantation, and d) Do all such things as are incidental or ancillary to the attainment of the above purposes.
