Services Provided by Our Saviour Lutheran Church
1. Provide regular Sunday Worship services in English and Hindustani. Provide mid-week services during Advent, Lent and Holy Week (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday). 2. Conduct social ministry to people of all backgrounds. We operate a food bank, ESL and computer classes. We offer opportunities for people on socal assistance to complete community service hours. 3 Conduct religious education on a regular basis including Sunday school, Bible study and discussion groups. 4. Contact members regularly. Visit the sick, disabled and dying. Provide counselling on marriage, drug and alcohol abuse, spousal abuse and other personal challenges. Provide referral to such counselling elsewhere. 5. Support the programs of Lutheran Church - Canada: East District, and through it, the national organization of Lutheran Church - Canada. 6. Provide space for regular meetings of local youth organizations (clubs, beavers, scouts, venturers, etc) without charge.
