Services Provided by SEMIAHMOO COMMUNITY SAFETY SOCIETY
Peninsula Marine Rescue: The Semiahmoo Peninsula Marina Rescue Society (SPMRS) supports the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Our crews train on the water two to five hours per week. Constant training is required to keep the teams sharp and ready to respond safely in all conditions-24/7 366 days a year. Extensive training takes a constant toll on the boat and the safety equipment of the crews. Society fund raising plays a major role insuring constant vessel maintenance, upgrading and replacement of equipment. We also need to replenish boating safety supplies and educational materials to educate boaters, swimmers, beach goers, hunters and fisherman, to reduce the call on the Search and Rescue system. Semiahmoo Animal League Inc: A farm animal rescue operation collaborating closely with community agencies to serve and identify formal research to provide a viable and effective approach to healing trauma in children exposed to violence. Dry Grad: Is an event which provides students with a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment to celebrate their graduation. It is a fully supervised fun event, sponsored by the PAC, where the grads can celebrate their graducation with their friends in a safe environment.
