The CNHA is a volunteer run community centre in Chemainus, providing free educational and recreational activities for families, youth, seniors and others, as well as resources to those in need. We have three programs: Resource Centre, Youth Program, & Healthy Food. All services and activities are free of charge, including workshops & classes. Regular family programs include: daily drop-in, Friday Free Store (free clothing, household supplies), ESL tutoring, service referrals, free computer & internet use, workshops, and special family events. Regular youth programs include: after school & week-end drop-in with recreation room, youth nights, weekly field trips, and youth art projects. Regular Healthy Food programs include: daily free groceries, daily free soup & coffee, cooking classes, & food hampers. We also hold many special activities such as Adopt-a-Family for Christmas, special field trips, restorative justice, cultural events, and others.
