Services Provided by Ladysmith And District Marine Rescue Society
The Society provides administrative and financial support for the Ladysmith Station 29 of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue. This station provides fast response to marine emergencies in the area of Dodds Narrows south to Maple Bay, including the ocean area surrounding Thetis, Penelakut, Galiano, Valdes, and all smaller islands in the Gulf Islands of BC. The Society also conducts safety training for the general public in safe operation of marine vessels.
