T.I.C.K. Inc.'s object in its Letters Patent states "to undertake educational programs for the purpose of preventing substance abuse among school children and the prevention of drug use at schools". T.I.C.K.Inc. accomplishes this object by contracting for Police Service instruction of the KIDS (Knowledge, Issues, Decisions, Supports) program in Brantford public and separate schools. Qualified police officers are contracted to teach a curriculum of material to Grade 6 students. 1hour per week for 17 weeks. In addition, a GR8 program is taught to grade 8 students about to enter high school. These 2 programs address the law, peer-to-peer relationships, social media awareness, drug awareness and mental health awareness. Funds are raised by a variety of methods to fund these programs.
