Our mandate remains the same from year to year and our ongoing program in to promote, through dragon boating, healthy living and maintaining an activelifestyle after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Our goal is to increase awareness of breast cancer and challenges and provide a support network for women living with breast cancer. In 2016 Spirit Abreast participated in the following events: Relay for Life in Abbotsford, the Cultus Laske Parade and the CIBC Run for the Cure. Team members helped the Cancer Society with their annual daffodil sales campaign. Team members volunteered at Shoppers Drug Mart and The West coast Women's Show fundraising for CBCF. Spiritabreast placed posters in various locations and advertised in local newspapers and on line. Our mission is to provide support and encourage women living with breast cancer to take care of their health and be active which will increase their self esteem and confidence.
