In cooperation with industry we presented two awards for "Leadership in Environmental Health" and for "Recreational Water Safety". We have also approved a further new award to be issued annually for "Innovation in the field of environmental and public health". The first presentation will be in 2017. We are also planning to target the importance of safe drinking water in light of the recent tragic & unnecessary deaths in Flint, Michigan from mismanagement of the public water system in that community.
