YIELD continues to use a computer based driving simulator to further engage our youth to see first hand the dangers of high risk driving. YIELD has included the use of Fatal Vision (alcohol and marijuana) goggles and puts them through sobriety exams. The Fatal Vision goggles are also used with the driving simulator to show the effects of impairment while driving. YIELD also provides a distracted driving programs showing the dangers of distracted driving and just how quickly a crash can occur when not paying attention to the task of operating a vehicle can happen. YIELD has obtained a second driving simulator which uses the Ocular Virtual Reality head set to simulate multiple hazards while driving. YIELD is also developing wearable prosthetics to engage youth and highlight the effects of a disability.
