Breast Friends provides each member the opportunity to participate in the movement of Dragon Boat Racing for breast cancer survivors. To accomplish this, the Society provides the following: - a comprehensive training/conditioning program based on the research program of Dr. Don MacKenzie to improve strenght, flexibility, function and cardiovascular fitness. - rigourous physical activity for recovery and maintenance of health & well-being following the treatment of breast cancer. - an avenue to raise breast cancer awareness by participating in dragon boat festivals. - an avenue to promote public education by making educational presentations to groups whenever possible.
