Skills Canada Saskatchewan's mission is to "promote skilled trades and technologies as a first choice career option to Saskatchewan youth".With the growth in Saskatchewan's economy strongly tied to industries dependent upon skilled trades and technology occupations,and as skills shortages become more acute,there is significant role for Skills Canada Saskatchewan to plan ininforming an preparing our youth. The following goals can be achieved through the promotion of skilled trade and technology-based careers: 1.To improve the public perception of the importance of trade and technology; 2.To promote the career path opportunities within trades and technology; 3.To develop and maintain strong links between business,labour,education and government; 4.To encourage students to recognize the value of completing secondary education for personal development and future employment.
