Literacy North Halton, operating under the name Adult Learning Centre continues to deliver literacy and basic skills programming, essential workplace computer skills training and academic upgrading to adults in the Acton, Geogetown and Milton communities. Our part-time staff of four jointly manage the program delivery. our Senior Program Coordinator leads our volunteers in terms of tutor training and curriculum for 1:1 tutoring as well as our instructors to deliver the academic upgrading program. The individualized approach we use to help learners contributes to our learners ability to reach their life goals, including seek and secure meaningful employment, gain high school equivalency, share the joy of reading with their families and enjoy the reward of becoming full contributors to their community.
