The VHS's mandate is to build a freestanding hospice in Vancouver and support the hospice movement. VHS raised awareness for the concept of and need for a hospice society in Vancouver. VHS raised funds to open a hospice facility and has following ongoing programs: Gala, Hike for Hospice, Healing Touch Workshops, Bereavement program.
