Again in 2016, we offered the "stand in the gap" program in partnership with 13 agencies and congregations throughout Southern Ontario. This program asked the partnering agencies and congregations to identify 90 children living below the poverty level in their communities and then sponsor them to attend camp at a reduced fee of #100. We are able to have 92 attend this year. The program had such a positive impact in the lives of children from Hamilton, Kitchener, Cambridge, Brampton, Mississauga, Waterloo, Welland, and Woodstock. We also expanded our programs for individuals with special needs from 5 weeks to 7 weeks. Our leadership program participants also served as volunteers with the Mennonite organization Tools in Toronto for a week.
